My Story

My Transformation

Hi, I am Kendra, founder of Becoming the Oak — a space where women are reminded that they are always in the process of becoming, and that Christ is with them in every season of it.

In addition to being a certified life and wellness coach through the Creation Coach Academy, I am a mom of 5, a seminary teacher, public speaker, and am passionate about helping women value and nurture what is already inside of them through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that is the doctrinal foundation from which I teach. I know that God loves all of his children no matter what faith they are, and Becoming the Oak is a space for any woman who wants to be more deeply rooted in Jesus Christ — that invitation is open to everyone

Where I started...

I felt like God was not helping me

I knew that I was a daughter of God. I had no doubts about that.

But I wasn't feeling seen by God. I thought God was looking after everyone but me.

I felt I could not be successful

I felt powerless and that there was nothing I could do that would change the way my life was going. Life was happening to me, and I felt like I had no input!

I felt like I was not worth it

I used to doubt my value and worth and question whether anyone would need what I had to offer. I went through a deep identity crisis where I questioned my place in this world, even though I knew that I was loved by God I didn't feel it.

"I knew that God loved me but I wasn't feeling it"

Becoming The Oak

I was enough

For a long time, I was reaching for potential, worth, and spiritual gifts and always trying to figure out how to get them.

I thought peace, joy, and purpose were something I had to earn, find, or reach for.

What I eventually came to realize was that I already had everything I needed within me.

God had placed it there all along.

The connection I was searching for wasn’t missing; it was waiting to be recognized and nourished.

Becoming A

Certified Coach

Before I could walk alongside anyone else, I had to walk through my own becoming. I know what it means to feel unrooted — because I have been there.

I have sat in the soil of my own becoming — in the hard seasons, the uprooted seasons, the seasons where I couldn't see what was growing below the surface. And it was there, in the unseen places, that Christ was doing His most important work in me.

When I finally turned to Him more intentionally, I stopped trying to fix myself and started letting Him be the gardener. That changed everything.

I created this space because I know what it feels like to need someone to sit with you in it — to tend what you can't see and remind you that Christ is already in the becoming."

Just like the acorn has everything to become an oak, we have everything we need to be successful in our life

Kendra has the remarkable ability to integrate core principles with meaningful, real-world applications. What sets Kendra apart is that she doesn't just teach from a curriculum; she leads with her unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You never feel like you are just 'another student' with Kendra - You feel seen and valued.

Perhaps most impactful is Kendra's courageous vulnerability. By sharing her own journey, she creates a safe space for others to be imperfect. Her transparency transforms her teaching from mere instruction into a powerful ministry of healing. To work with Kendra is to be taught by someone who knows the truth, lives the truth, and loves you through your own process of finding it.

4 Things About Me....

Fun and energetic person icon

Fun & Energetic

I am fun, energetic, and a little animated — and I bring all of it to my teaching.

I love helping women see Christ in every aspect of their lives and making the Gospel feel as alive as it actually is. If you have ever been in a room where the Spirit is tangible and the energy is high, that is the Christ-centered space I love to create.

Passionate about teaching

Teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something I do — it is something I am.

I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is living and active, and my greatest joy is helping women discover how it speaks directly into their own story and spiritual growth journey.

When the Gospel clicks in someone's heart, there is nothing like it.

Compassionate

I see you.

I have sat in hard seasons long enough to know that what women need most is not advice — it is someone who will sit with them in it.

I approach every woman with patience, empathy, and the same gentle presence I have received from Christ.

This is a safe space for faith, healing, and becoming — and you will never feel judged here. Only seen.

On a mission to bring light!

Darkness has a way of creeping in quietly — and I know firsthand how heavy it can get.

But I also know what happens when you let Christ in. He doesn't just brighten the room. He changes everything.

My mission is to walk alongside women on their faith journey toward the light, the healing, and the becoming that is already waiting for them in Him."
